Beer is the right balance of this rich, gooey, cheesy goodness! It’s just the right melty consistency for the perfect dipping partner for our pork rinds!

Ingredients

    Fontina Beer Queso Dip:

    • 1 Tbsp. Southern Recipe Pork Rinds, finely crushed
    • 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
    • 1 Tbsp. Minced garlic
    • 1/4 cup Red onion, finely diced
    • 1/2 pint Mexican beer
    • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 1 cup Pepper jack cheese, shredded
    • 1/2 cup Fontina cheese, shredded
    • 1 Tbsp. Tajín

Preparation

1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

2. Add minced garlic and diced red onion. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.

3. Pour in the Mexican beer and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it reduce slightly for 2–3 minutes.

4. Gradually stir in the cheddar, pepper jack, and fontina cheeses, a handful at a time, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.

5. Stir in Tajín seasoning and mix well.

6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with crushed pork rinds for added texture.

7. Serve warm with additional pork rinds, chips, or vegetables for dipping.
