Ingredients
- Southern Style Jambalaya topped with Pork Rinds:
• 2 Tbsp. Butter
• 1 large Onion, chopped
• 1 Green bell pepper, chopped
• 8 Green onions, chopped
• 2 Celery ribs, chopped
• 3 cups Cooked ham (1 pound), cubed
• 1 pound Cajun-flavored or smoked sausage, sliced
• 1 can (8-ounce) Tomato sauce
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
• 1/4 tsp Ground red pepper
• 5 cups Cooked rice
• Garnish with crushed Southern Recipe Original Pork Rinds
Preparation
1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add onion and the next 3 ingredients. Sauté until tender.
3. Add ham, sausage, and the next 4 ingredients. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
4. Stir in rice, cover, and cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Garnish, if desired, and serve hot.
