Not-Your-Mama’s Pork Rind French Toast

Forget everything you know about the french toast recipes you get at those fancy restaurants. Our version takes it up a notch by adding a little bacony crunch in every bite. Hey, you won’t need a side of bacon with this recipe (but, of course that’s crazy, more bacon is more better). This french toast is so good, you just may oui, oui yourself.

Ingredients

    Not-Your-Mama’s Pork Rind French Toast:

    • 1 bag of Southern Recipe Pork Rinds,  crushed
    • 4 Eggs
    • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
    • 6 packets Sweetener
    • 12 slices Bread of your choice
    • 2 tsp. Egg nog, optional

Preparation

1. Crumble pork rinds until they resemble bread crumbs. Set aside.

2. Beat eggs well, then mix with the remaining ingredients and beat again.

3. Add the crushed Southern Recipe Pork Rinds to the egg and cream mixture.

4. Let the mixture sit for approximately 5 minutes to thicken into a paste.

5. Meanwhile, heat a skillet or griddle with butter or oil over medium heat.

6. When hot, fry the mixture pancake-style until golden brown on both sides.

7. Serve warm with maple syrup.
