Resolve To Be A Better You

SR-Resolution-1 Resolve To Be A Better YouIt’s that time of year again where we boldly tell the world our New Year’s Resolutions. And whether you keep ’em one day, one month or all year, when it comes to your yearly promises, what type of “resolutionary” are you?

Been There Done That: You know the type, it’s the friend who dusts off last year’s resolutions. You can tell because he has “go to Larry the Cable Guy Standup Concert” on his list.

Add-On List: This person uses the same list each year, in fact, it’s the same piece of paper. But “Lose 10 pounds” has been crossed out each year to reveal the new year goal of “Lose 20 pounds”. Well, there’s still hope.

Undercover Resolution Lover: This person swears they don’t make ’em but slowly they change their appearance, workout consistently and even start eating a healthier high protein diet (pork rinds rule).

What resolutions are you going to keep? Let us know and we’ll kick the new year off right with some Southern Recipe Pork Rinds. Happy Rind New Year!

Which leads us to our annual Pork Rind Appreciation Day celebration.  This year we’re honoring the original Touchdown Dancer, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson with his very own game, Gridiron Groovin’. It’s easy to enter.  Visit PorkRinds.com, select your favorite touchdown dance moves and you’re automatically entered to win $2,500 and pork rind prizes. That’s it. Plus, each day you play up to the Big Game, you’ll be helping the rind-worthy charity, Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund.

Think you got the skills to dance like a pro in the end zone? Well, it doesn’t skills, just ability to celebrate. And we know you got that.

Deck the Halls, Y’all

‘Tis the season for … gift shopping! Although we don’t have all the answers to your holiday shopping woes, we do have three tips to keep you from getting too “Blitzen-ed” about gift giving.

SR-deck-the-hall Deck the Halls, Y'allGive experiences rather than objects.
People who receive gifts, such as football tickets or a trip on the Bourbon Trail, feel more connected to the gift giver than people who receive material items. And by giving an experience, you’ll both make memories.

Shop online.
It’s quicker, and you’ll have more of an opportunity to comparison shop. Who has time to fight the mall crowd … don’t get us started on the parking lot. If you have a gift snoop on your hands, make sure you clear your browser history. Idea: Southern Recipe pork rinds and snacks. Hey, we all gotta eat!

Be charitable.
Ok, so some crazy person on your list really has everything he or she needs. This is an easy one. Find something they’re passionate about and donate to that cause. There are thousands of charities helping so many causes.

All this generosity makes us hungry.
Here’s how to fuel up while you’re on the go.
