Super Fun For The Super Game

Super Fun For The Super GameEven if your team didn’t make it to the Super Game, you’ll want to get ready for the biggest “homegate” of the season. Here are a few tips to keep the action going for every football fan:

1. Be aware that a few attending your party may be less than thrilled “fans”. Consider setting up an alternate room for their watching pleasure or set up a gaming area. There’s nothing worse than a 2 point game and a bored pacing spouse.

2. Food keeps everyone happy. Put together a spread that’s easy to replenish. Make a balanced selection of hot and cold choices. Make it easy for your guest to pick up on the run and eat with their fingers. Try our Hot and Spicy Pork Rind Chicken Wings, warm BLT Dip and Walking Pork Rind Tacos. Plus, you’ll have an easier time cleaning up.

3. Celebrate with your own touchdown dance. Think you got the moves? Show ‘em, and you could win $2,500! It’s fun … enter for your chance to win cash and pork rind prizes.

4. Game out of hand? If the score gets out of hand, don’t give into changing the channel. Remember, some of the most entertaining and creative TV all year is the +$3 million commercials. Never, ever talk while the commercials are playing. That’s a sure fire way to get designated to the kid’s TV.

No Need To Bootleg These Pork Rinds

Just because it’s National Bootlegger’s Day (observed on the 17th of this month) doesn’t mean we’re suggesting that you fire up the backwoods still. We’re just giving a nod to a piece of Americana.

Fun fact: in the 1880’s the term “bootlegger” was used because one would conceal a flask of liquor in the top of the boot. Although a more familiar use of the term came in the 1920’s with Prohibition.

So, in honor of this day, we’ve paired our Hot & Spicy Pork Rinds with a twist on the classic Mule drink.  This Kickin’ Mule cocktail starts with tequila and end with a slice of jalapeño for added kick. Please enjoy the crunch responsibly.

Back To The Race

Cheesy Cowboy CasseroleNow that you have packed away the ornaments, dragged the tree out to the curb and took down the outside Christmas lights (or at least turned them off, hey we wouldn’t want to burn any bulbs out for next year). It’s time to get back to the hustle of your everyday routine, which by all accounts seems a heck of a lot busier now than it was just last month. We may not be able to help with getting from point A to point B in your fast-paced life, but we can help you to slow down with these slow cooker recipes.

Cheesy Cowboy Casserole: Add a little yippee-ki-yay to your daily routine with an easy dish that’s perfect for any chilly day. Add a sweet twist by adding Southern Recipe Bar-B-Que Pork Rinds.

Chili Mac n’ Cheese: Throw out the traditional so-so Mac n’ Cheese recipe by adding the secret of chili. It’s beefy serves up well with Original Southern Recipe Pork Rinds.

Crockpot Pork Roast: A five minute, five ingredient meal that’s ready after a long day? Nothing is easier. Makes enough for lunch the next day … just add a side of Southern Recipe Salt & Vinegar Pork Rinds and relax.
