It’s hunting season! Whether you’ve been hunting on the same plot your whole life or you’re exploring some new territory, make this a season to remember. Just remember, when you come home pork rinds make a snack to unwind with and plan your next hunt!
This season, we want to hear: What does hunting season mean to you? One of our very own here at Southern Recipe shares why he loves this time of year:
“This year marks the 51st anniversary I will be going deer hunting with my dad and the 28th year with my kids. We have been hunting on the same lease in south Texas for more than 30 years. As my mom says, we are “making memories”.
We hunt about 11,000 acres of some of the finest whitetail country in Texas. We also have over a dozen Asian and African species. We get to share lots of deer, food and campfire stories. My dream hunt? Cape Buffalo. I would love to hunt something so powerful! We have been hunting wild boars with knives for the last ten years or so and I would love to turn it up a notch.”
