This Balsamic BBQ Meatballs With Pork Rinds brings big flavor, satisfying texture, and Southern charm to dinner.

Ingredients

    • 1 cup Southern Recipe Original Pork Rinds
    • 1/3 cup Ketchup
    • 1/3 cup Balsamic vinegar
    • 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
    • 1 Tbsp. Apple cider vinegar
    • 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp. Salt
    • 1/2 lb. Ground pork
    • 1/2 lb. Ground beef
    • 1/3 cup Onion, grated
    • 1/4 cup Parmesan
    • 1 Egg, beaten
    • 1 Garlic clove, minced
    • 1 Tbsp. Milk or heavy cream
    • 2 Tbsp. Basil, minced
    • 1 tsp. Salt

Preparation

1. In a small saucepan, whisk together ketchup, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic clove powder, and salt.
2. Set the saucepan over low heat and whisk until smooth. Keep warm.
3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine pork, beef, onion, garlic clove, Parmesan, cream, beaten egg, basil, and salt. Mix gently with a fork—do not overmix.
5. Crush Southern Recipe Original Pork Rinds into very fine crumbs using a plastic bag or food processor.
6. Add the crushed Southern Recipe Original Pork Rinds to the meat mixture and combine until well incorporated.
7. Form meatballs using a small ice cream scoop.
8. Place meatballs on a baking sheet.
9. Spoon a small amount of the balsamic BBQ sauce over each meatball.
10. Bake for 35–40 minutes.
11. Extra sauce on the side for dipping.
